With features like the option to enable status checking from within conversations, WhatsApp is readying many new features for the app that could roll out in the future. But one important feature that would make the WhatsApp usage experience better is the integrated AI chatbot, which is currently under beta testing.
In September of this year, Meta announced that it would bring an AI chatbot to its platforms. The company heavily relied on the Llama 2 large language mode for its AI chatbot for fluent and realistic conversations. It also partnered with Microsoft Bing to answer all of your questions through a web search.
The latest WhatsApp beta brings the AI chatbot shortcut right above the Chat button
Fast forward to now, and it seems like Meta is putting the finishing touches on its AI chatbot, as WABetaInfo has spotted the chatbot in the latest WhatsApp beta v2.23.24.26. There is a new shortcut in the Chats tab, just above the chat icon. Using this shortcut, you could launch the integrated AI chatbot and ask it to do whatever is within the application.
The ease of access of the AI chatbot in the WhatsApp app makes the platform more convenient for users, saving time and effort, thanks to AI. Right now, the feature is available to only a select set of WhatsApp beta users, but it is expected to roll out widely for everyone in the coming days. If you wish to try out the AI chatbot feature in WhatsApp, you need to be enrolled in the beta program, which for now is full.
