Samsung India has officially announced the Galaxy M31s earlier today, and in case you're wondering when, where, and for what price you'll be able to buy this souped-up budget phone, you don't have to look any further. The official launch details for the Galaxy M31s are in, and according to the company, you'll be able to buy the device starting August 6.
The Galaxy M31s will be sold by Samsung's online shop, Amazon.in, and ‘leading retail stores' (it's unclear whether it will be available through offline channels). Samsung has been pushing its online store aggressively to the forefront, so the company might want to leverage the launch of the Galaxy M31s to get closer to its desired 10% increase in online sales.
All those Galaxy M31s extras come at a price
The Galaxy M31s is quite an exciting low-to-mid-range phone mainly because it's the first in the Galaxy M series to take advantage of 25W fast charging. It also features 128GB of storage as standard, a Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a centered cutout, and it boasts camera modes like Single Take and Night Hyperlapse.
These extra features command a higher price compared to the Galaxy M31. While the original model was launched in India for INR 14,999 ($200) and INR 15,999 ($213), the Galaxy M31s with 6GB or 8GB of RAM will be priced at INR 19,499 ($260) and INR 21,499 ($286), respectively.
Once the phone hits the virtual shelves on August 6, customers will have two color options to choose from, namely Mirage Black and Mirage Blue. Which color will you pick, assuming you plan on buying the new Galaxy M31s next week? Leave a comment below.
