Faster charging only for some models.

Samsung is on a release roll. The company recently expanded its foldable and earbud lineups with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the U-shaped Galaxy Buds On. The expansion strategy may continue into early next year, when Samsung is expected to release four mainline Galaxy S27 models instead of three.
With the 2026 Galaxy Z8 series introducing silicon-carbon (Si-C) batteries, the Galaxy S27 series may also see significant battery upgrades. And faster charging is a possibility regardless of the introduction of Si-C technology.
Regulatory documents reveal that the Galaxy S27, or at least half the lineup, will charge faster than the other half. Possibly even faster than all the Galaxy S models Samsung released previously — even the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung's upcoming four flagships are said to be the base Galaxy S27, the Galaxy S27+, the brand-new entry to the series, which may be called the Galaxy S27 Pro, and last but not least, the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
By the way, we've named them in that order because that's where Samsung seemingly intends to position the new Pro model: between the Plus and the Ultra.
But to answer the titular question, only the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will have 60W wired charging, leaks indicate. The Galaxy S27 and S27+ will be limited to 25W and 45W, respectively. Same as this year's models.
Speaking of this year's Galaxy S26 Ultra, it already has 60W charging. So how come rumors say the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra's 60W will charge even faster? Through better optimization.
The answer may lie in this year's battery upgrade for foldables: the silicon-carbon anode. Silicon-carbon batteries can potentially sustain higher voltage for longer. Combined with better optimization, it could help the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra charge faster than the Galaxy S26 Ultra, despite next year's bigger batteries.
And yes, aside from sustaining closer to 60W charging for longer, the silicon-carbon batteries that will power the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra also have higher capacities: 5,200mAh and 5,700mAh, respectively.
This upgraded battery setup, limited to the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra, would differentiate the two higher-tier phones from the rest of the S27 lineup and previous entries. And that's not the only bit of DNA shared by the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra. Interestingly, the Pro is smaller than the Plus but otherwise has more in common with the Ultra.
