Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now play more than 150 games directly on their Galaxy smartphones or tablets via Project xCloud. Microsoft's latest cloud-based gaming service went live today in 22 countries and it's available for various platforms including mobile. The service is not exclusive to Galaxy mobile devices but Samsung fans who have pre-ordered a device from the Galaxy Note 20 or the Galaxy Tab S7 series have a head start over other Android smartphone owners. They have been gifted a 3-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and an Xbox controller.

As detailed before, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is a subscription service that gives access to more than 100 games. However, the component that makes cloud gaming possible is not available everywhere Xbox Game Pass Ultimate was released. As of this writing, cloud gaming is available only in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.

Haven't pre-ordered the latest flagship tablet/smartphone? Join for $1

If you've pre-ordered the Galaxy Note 20 / Galaxy Note 20 Ultra or the Galaxy Tab S7 / Galaxy Tab S7+ in select markets then you should be all set to start using Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through the cloud. Otherwise you can become an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber for just $1 for the first month, after which you'll have to pay a $14.99 monthly subscription to continue using the service. If you're looking for the ultimate mobile gaming bundle, Microsoft can sell you a controller for mobile gaming along with the Galaxy Note 20 flagship.

One of the great things about Microsoft's gaming service is that you don't have to own an Xbox console or a gaming PC to take advantage of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Through cloud gaming, Galaxy smartphone and tablet owners can play a variety of titles on their mobile devices as long as they have the Xbox Game Pass app installed and a compatible controller. Touch controls are generally not supported but some developers are working on adding this feature to their games.

And speaking of games, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gives access to more than 100 titles including Batman: Arkham KnightBloodstained: Ritual of the Night, DayZ, DiRT 4, Forza Horizon 4, various Gears of War and Halo games, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Mortal Kombat X, NieR:Automata, No Man's Sky, Sea of Thieves, Streets of Rage 4, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, three Yakuza games and a lot more.
