The Galaxy A14 5G was Samsung's first phone for 2023. The device came with Android 13-based One UI 5.0 out of the box. Now, the smartphone has started getting the One UI 5.1 update, bringing more features and improved stability. The update is currently rolling out in some Asian countries right now.
The One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy A14 5G bumps up the phone's firmware version to A146BXXU1BWC3. It also brings the March 2023 security patch that fixes over 50 security shortcomings found in Galaxy smartphones. If you are in India or Sri Lanka, you can download the new software update right away. If you live in other countries, you may have to wait for a few days more.
To update your Galaxy A14 5G to One UI 5.1, head over to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy A14 5G gets improved stock apps with the One UI 5.1 update. The Gallery app has improved search, capable of searching for more than one subject at a time. It also offers an easier way to view and edit EXIF information. You can just tap on faces to search for all images of a person. There are three new widgets, two for battery and one for dynamic weather information.
The Modes And Routines app now has more options and features, including font style, Quick Share, ringtone, and wallpaper. In split-screen multitasking, which can now be opened with a two-finger swipe-up gesture, the phone shows frequently used apps first. It speeds up the multitasking process. An app's window can be dragged to minimize or maximize it.
