Samsung started rolling out the June 2021 security patch to its Galaxy devices last week. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G was the first smartphone to get access to the latest security update. Since then, close to a dozen Galaxy smartphones have received the latest security update. Now, the Galaxy A52 5G is getting the same update.
The Galaxy A52 5G has started getting a new software update in Brazil. The latest update, which has firmware version A526BXXS1AUE3, includes the June 2021 security patch. We don't have an official changelog for the new update yet, but we don't expect it to have any significant new software features apart from fixes for security and privacy-related vulnerabilities.
The new software is now available for carrier-locked (Claro, TIM Brasil, and VIVO) and unlocked variants of the Galaxy A52 5G in the country. If you are a Galaxy A52 5G user in Brazil, you can check for the OTA update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A52 5G in March with Android 11 on board. The smartphone will receive three major Android OS updates over the next three years and an additional year of security updates. The device is currently on Samsung's monthly security update schedule.
