Samsung has been introducing more and more affordable 5G smartphones with each passing year. Last year, the South Korean firm's cheapest 5G smartphone was the Galaxy A13 5G, and this year won't be any different as an upcoming affordable 5G smartphone has made its first appearance.
A new Samsung smartphone with model number SM-M236B_DS has appeared in Bluetooth and FCC databases. Going by the information in certification documents, the smartphone will be called the Galaxy M23 5G. The company could also launch an LTE variant of the Galaxy M23.
Additional model numbers of the smartphone include the SM-M236Q_DS and the SM-E236B_DS. The latter means that Samsung could launch the phone as the Galaxy F23 5G in some markets or through select retailers in markets like India. It is evident from the phone's model number that it features a dual-SIM card slot.
While not much is known about the upcoming smartphone, we could expect it to feature a high-refresh-rate Super AMOLED display, a quad-camera setup, a 5G chipset, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, a fingerprint reader, and a 5,000mAh or bigger battery with fast charging.
