Introduction
The Galaxy M32 is Samsung's sixth M-branded phone to have been announced in 2021, after the Galaxy M02 and M02s, the Galaxy M12, Galaxy M42 5G, and the Galaxy M62.
Samsung's new M-branded phone shares a few specifications with the Galaxy A32, but it's not actually a rebranded phone. It doesn't share the Galaxy A32's back panel design, though it does have an Infinity-U display.
The Galaxy M32 is another cost-effective phone that's been added to Samsung's growing mid-range portfolio, and it should be priced right below the Galaxy M42 5G.
Design
The Galaxy M32 looks a lot like other M-branded phones released in the first half of 2021. It has a rectangular camera housing, a glossy back panel with vertical stripes, and a metallic frame made from plastic.
The phone's edges are rounded, and the display is completely flat. The speaker and the 3.5mm headphone jack are located on the bottom edge, flanking the USB-C port.
The device carries the volume rocker and the fingerprint sensor-embedded power key on the right edge. It was unveiled in three color options, black, light blue, and white, but availability differs by market. Preliminary data suggests that the phone measures 160 x 74 x 9mm and weighs 196 grams.
Display
The Galaxy M32 has a 6.4-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution. The panel is expected to boast a 90Hz refresh rate, and press renders have confirmed an Infinity-U design before the phone's official unveiling.
The panel should is Super AMOLED, and it's capable of reaching 800 nits of peak brightness.
Specifications
The MediaTek Helio G80 has been used by a few Galaxy M branded phones in 2021, and the Galaxy M32 is no exception. The device will go on sale with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD.
The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 6,000mAh battery with 15W charging capabilities.
Camera
The Galaxy M32 has a 64MP main camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. The device is also equipped with depth and macro sensors, each having a resolution of 2MP.
The selfie sensor clocks in at 20MP, and it's embedded in the Infinity-U display cutout.
Software
Android 11 is now the standard for new Galaxy phones, at least until Android 12 hits the waves, and the Galaxy M32 ships with Android 11 from day one. The phone should benefit from two major Android OS updates throughout its lifetime.
Samsung is shipping the Galaxy M32 with a lightweight version of One UI 3.1.
