Introduction
Samsung makes a lot of phones, and often the ones that sell the most are low-budget Galaxy A smartphones such as the Galaxy A14, so you shouldn't be surprised that Samsung has launched the Galaxy A15.
Design
The Galaxy A15 will reportedly bring a major design change that could apply to more than just budget Galaxy phones in 2024. Leaked renders have revealed that it features a flat frame instead of a curved one, and the frame protrudes a little on the right side of the device where the volume and power buttons are placed. The back of the phone will have three cameras in a vertical layout along with an LED flash on the side and will likely be made of plastic given the price range low-end Galaxy A smartphones tend to target.
Specifications
Not a lot of Galaxy A15 specs are known as of September 20, 2023, except that it will feature a 6.4-inch Infinity-U display, which is slightly smaller than the Galaxy A14's display, and dimensions of 160.2 x 76.8 x 8.4 mm. It will also have three rear cameras, but the megapixel counts are a mystery at this time.
Software and Features
The Android and One UI versions that the Galaxy A15 will come preloaded with will depend on when the phone goes on sale. A 2023 launch would likely mean that it runs Android 13 and One UI 5.1 out of the box, while a launch next year would increase its chances of running Android 14 and One UI 6.0 from day one. As for updates, the A15 will probably be eligible for two major Android OS upgrades and three years of regular security updates.
Availability and Price
As of September, 23, 2023, no price and release details are available for the Galaxy A15. The Galaxy A14 launched in February of 2023 and went on sale in March, so it would make sense for the A15 to launch in February, 2024, but there's always the possibility that Samsung will release the device earlier than expected.
