Samsung's laptop lineup for 2024 has something for everyone, including people who may want to use Windows on ARM. The Galaxy Book 4 series consists of several models ranging in price and features, and at the top of the list sits the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra.
Undeniably, the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is the most powerful Samsung laptop ever created. It has the most powerful Intel CPU in the series and is the only one in the 2024 lineup to sport a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card.
Galaxy Book 4 Ultra overview
Samsung announced and released the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra in two configurations, one more powerful than the other.
The first configuration is based on an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU, which runs at 3.8GHz or up to 4.8GHz in Boost mode. This version is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.
This configuration offers everything a laptop needs to rise to the challenge of demanding tasks and PC gaming. But anyone who needs that little bit of extra power and memory can pick the 2nd configuration.
The most powerful Galaxy Book 4 Ultra variant you can buy sports the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, which runs at 3.8GHz but can go as high as 5.1GHz in Boost mode.
This version is also equipped with a more powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, double the RAM at 32GB, and a 1TB SSD.
A gorgeous display and many other great features
Regardless of which Galaxy Book 4 Ultra model you may want to use, your experience will be defined by a gorgeous 16-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) high-resolution display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The screen has touch capabilities and is covered by a layer of anti-reflective Corning Gorilla Glass DX. It boasts 120% DCI-P3 color volume and also uses Vision Booster technology, similar to Galaxy phones.
In short, this technology adjusts brightness, contrast, and color depending on the environmental light to give you the best experience in all lighting conditions.
Other specs worth mentioning include AKG Quad Speakers (two 5W woofers and two 2W tweeters), Dolby Atmos support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, a 1080p FHD webcam, a fingerprint sensor, and microSD expandable storage.
In terms of connectivity, you also get one HDMI 2.1a, two Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2, and one 3.5mm audio port.
Everything relies on a 76Wh battery, which Samsung says can last for up to 21 hours on a charge. The battery supports 140W charging. All this power is wrapped in a 16.5mm body that weighs only 1.85 kg.
All the extra software and features
The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra runs Windows 11 Home, but it is unlike all other Windows 11 laptops.
Because this is a Samsung ultrabook, you get extra software tools and features. For example, it has a secondary settings menu dedicated to the laptop's unique features and capabilities.
The Ultra laptop also offers the best experience for Galaxy phone and tablet users thanks to features like Link to Windows, Continuity, and Second Screen, the latter of which allows users to extend their laptop's display to their Galaxy tablet.
Last but not least, Galaxy Book 4 Ultra users enjoy full compatibility with Samsung's entire library of Windows apps, which can improve your productivity and more.
